Maeve participated in a study on how infants hear. She was trained to listen for a tone and she looked at an animatronic dog when she heard a particular tone. She was very into it and heard all the tones and was not tricked by similar tones. Near the end she was getting angry and I didn't know why. I guess they weren't playing the particular tone and she was getting annoyed. Babies don't have a developed cortex yet, so the study is trying to figure out at what age babies can recognize tones without a functioning cortex.
